National Award Nominations
After many years working as a midwife and managing the clinic, Miracle in Progress, has been nominated for not one, not two but three significant awards.
“The news came through this week that I’ve been nominated and made it through to the finals in the National Business Women’s Awards in the Business Owner of the Year category and the clinic has been nominated in the RCM (Royal College of Midwifes) Awards in the Bereavement Care category and the FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards,” said Jo Proud, Director of Miracle in Progress. “To say that I’m thrilled is a huge understatement and is a testament, I believe, to all the hard work we’ve all put in over the last 8 years.
“I’m personally beyond thrilled to be recognised in the finals of the National Business Women’s Award and especially touched at being nominated in the RCM Awards. Of course, they are our governing body but to be selected for the category Bereavement Care is particularly moving as it recognises the work we do in a particularly sensitive area namely neonatal death.”
Founded by Jo in 2010 after cutbacks to NHS funding for antenatal services, the clinic works with women and their families from all over the country. It has become a recognised centre of excellence and aims to help create magical moments through scans and provide support for individual women throughout their pregnancy.
Adds Jo, “The team here at Miracle in Progress have over 35 years of combined experience including gynaecology, sonography and midwifery, and their knowledge of every given aspect of pregnancy, birth and beyond is really what sets this clinic apart. We offer an elite service which stands heads and shoulders above the rest. We offer more high-quality one-to-one contact, more scans, more time spent with each individual woman, and plenty of advice and assistance at any given moment of need.
“Miracle in Progress was designed and created to meet the specific needs of mothers from the very beginning of their journey into motherhood. We are in the unique position in that we can help women even before they are pregnant through ovulation advice, follicle tracking, and then throughout pregnancy with blood tests, early 3D/4D scans, through to antenatal classes. We can also support post-birth with a doula service and then beyond with breastfeeding guidance, mother and baby drop-in groups and essentially a friendly, expert ear every step of the way as she navigates her way through motherhood.”
Over the years Jo has built a huge portfolio of extremely happy clients whilst also supporting many celebrity women including Katie Price, Sam Bailey, Natasha Hamilton, Michelle Heaton and Jamie and Rebekah Vardy.
